What if there is no tomorrow?

“You want a prediction about the weather, you’re asking the wrong Phil. I’ll give you a winter prediction: It’s gonna be cold, it’s gonna be grey, and it’s gonna last you for the rest of your life”

Phil Connors the weatherman makes this dour statement in the movie Groundhog Day during one of the ever repeating days he is experiencing. It’s a particularly bad “day” for Phil, one of his suicidal days. If you’ve seen the movie, you know Phil experiences many of these days before realizing he can make the best of his situation and then things start to turn around. Groundhog Day (every February 2nd, not the movie) makes me think of the coming spring, which is my favorite season. Regardless of whether Punxsutawney Phil in Gobbler’s Knob, PA sees his shadow or not, I know spring is on it’s way, and I feel warmed. As the ad campaign goes: It gets better. As bad as things can get in life sometimes, it gets better. Keep your chin up. Soldier On. Love Life.
